Ivy Scraps is Four Years Old!

Welcome to my blog!!

I am sure you are visiting me to celebrate Ivy Scraps’ 4th birthday.  The fun began without me, as I was traveling, without internet service.  We are safely back home now, so it is time to play catch up.

Gloria Val Verde and I have teamed up to bring you a special Hybrid Challenge for the birthday celebration.  For the challenge, you will be asked to make a gift box, and a set of 4 birthday cards with matching envelopes.

This would be a wonderful gift to someone special on your Christmas list.

Find the Challenge  HERE

For the blog hop, I decided to make an insert that will fit the gift box, for a CD or DVD.

You can download it   HERE
Here are the rest of the stops on the blog hop:

September Font Challenge at Ivy Scraps

I didn't do a great job of updating my blog on time, but, HEY: It is still September!!

September is Back to School time for many. Some families have a tradition of taking a picture on the first day of school each year. You may have heritage school pictures, or brand new ones. First day, or any day, I want to see a School Days layout, using one of the featured fonts.

I have three FUN fonts for you to try out this month.

  • ·         Collegiate Family by Casady-and-Greene  A set of 5 fonts that fit together
  • ·         Dobkin Script by Dieter Steffmann
  • ·         Eraser Dust by David Rakowski

You can stop by the Font Challenge at Ivy Scraps (, and join the fun.  Just for looking, you can download this free set of wordart.  Coincidentally, they are made with the featured fonts!!

August Font Challenge

I host the monthly Font Challenge at Ivy Scraps.

Each month, I will point you toward the fonts of the month.   You will download it, install it, and use it in a layout.  Post it in The Font Challenge Gallery, and then post a link back to the challenge thread.  If you need help with any of these steps, please ask, and we will help you with it!!

For August I chose a Beachy theme, featuring the following fonts:

  • Freebooter & Freebooter Outline  by Graham Meade at Gem Fonts
  • VanillaWhale by Ray Larbie at  Typodermic Fonts
  • WoodenNickelBlack  by Nick Curtis at Nick’s Fonts

Come check it out at Ivy Scraps Font Challenge.

If you are not a member at Ivy Scraps, you will need to sign up, but it is FREE, and it is the friendliest scrapping site on the web.
Just for looking, you can download my FREE wordart pre-prize, featuring these great fonts.
